REGISTRATION POLICY

1.1 Refund
Registrations are non-refundable, except in cases specifically outlined in this registration policy. If a participant is no longer able to take part in the event, they may request a transfer of their registration (subject to an administrative transfer fee of $18 or $25 on-site at bib pick-up, charged to the new participant), depending on availability at the time of the transfer request. Service fees paid by the original participant are non-refundable upon a registration transfer. A transfer deadline may apply (see the “Changes and Transfers” section below for more information).

1.2 Error During Registration
If a participant makes an error during registration, such as registering for the wrong distance, they may request a transfer of their registration (subject to an administrative change or transfer fee of $18 or $25 on-site at bib pick-up—see the “Changes and Transfers” section below), depending on availability at the time of the request. Service fees paid by the original participant are non-refundable upon a registration transfer. A deadline for changes or transfers may apply (see the “Changes and Transfers” section below).

1.3 Event Cancellation/Postponement
If an event is canceled without a rescheduled date by the organizer, all participants will be refunded the full amount paid at registration. If the event is postponed by the organizer, participants may choose between a full refund or transferring their registration to the new event date (subject to availability at the time of the request).

1.4 Change and Transfer

1.4.1 Change of Race (Event Distance)
We allow registered participants to change their race (distance) up until the deadline posted on www.jecoursqc.com (this date may be changed without notice), subject to availability at the time of the change request. For any race change request, the participant must pay the difference in registration fees between the two races based on the rate in effect at the time of the change (excluding applicable taxes and processing fees), as well as a race change administrative fee of $18, or $25 if done on-site during bib pick-up, as stated at the time of the change.
If a participant switches to a race with a lower registration fee than originally paid, the price difference will not be refunded. However, the race change administrative fee of $18 still applies.
If a race change is requested after the change deadline, it can only be done on-site during bib pick-up, according to the schedule posted at www.jecoursqc.com, subject to availability and at the discretion of the organizer. Bibs cannot be reserved for specific individuals after the change deadline. It is not possible to transfer a registration to the following year.

1.4.2 Change of Event
It is not possible to switch between different events once registration is complete. If a participant is unable to attend an event, they may transfer their registration to another person, subject to availability and the organizer’s discretion. Transferring a registration to the following year is not allowed.

1.4.3 Registration Transfer
We accept registration transfers until the change/transfer deadline posted on www.jecoursqc.com, subject to availability at the time of the request. Transfers between participants are made directly in the participant’s Race Roster account, following the steps in the FAQ on jecoursqc.com. The new participant will pay the original registration fee and a $18 transfer fee. Once the transfer is complete, the original participant will be automatically refunded the registration fee paid, excluding service fees.
If a race is marked as sold out on the booking platform, no further transfers can be made online; they must be completed in person at bib pick-up according to the schedule posted on www.jecoursqc.com, subject to availability and organizer approval.
To transfer a registration on-site at bib pick-up, the new participant must present a written authorization (printed or digital) from the original registrant, in a format acceptable to the organizer.
All on-site transfer requests are subject to a $25 administrative fee, payable by the new participant. Service fees paid by the original participant are non-refundable.
It is not possible to change both the race and participant in a single transaction. If the new participant also wishes to change the race, it must be done as a separate transaction (subject to the same fees and availability).

1.5 Results
Race results may be available on the Sportstats website (or any future timing partner). If a participant disputes their time or their time is not listed, they must contact the timing partner directly; the organizer is not responsible.
It is forbidden to participate in the event using another person’s bib or to share the completion of the event with others. Each participant must use the bib personally assigned to them at registration. Unauthorized bib transfers are not allowed. The organizer reserves the right to perform identity checks, which may result in disqualification depending on the circumstances. These decisions are final and not subject to appeal.
If a participant is disqualified for using someone else’s bib or sharing the event, their time will not be valid or posted on the official timing partner’s website. Participant transfers must be carried out according to section 1.4.3.

1.6 Wheelchair and Visual Impairments
Persons with reduced mobility (co-runner) may participate in suitable events if accompanied by a runner. The runner must keep their hands on the wheelchair handles at all times. For safety reasons, solo participation by wheelchair users is not allowed—they must be pushed by another person at all times.
Visually impaired runners may also be accompanied by a co-runner.
If both participants (runner and co-runner) want a bib and t-shirt, each must pay the registration fee. The runner pays the full fee in effect at the time of registration, while the co-runner receives a 50% discount (subject to change at any time by the organizer).

1.7 Cut-off Points (Timing Limits)
Our events can be completed by walking or running. Maximum times are set for each race and may be modified at the organizer’s discretion. These times may change annually—refer to www.jecoursqc.com for details.
In addition to overall time limits, cut-off points are also in place. Participants who do not reach these points within the allotted time will be disqualified. Refer to the website for current cut-off details, which may be updated at the organizer’s discretion.
